The Horse Barn

Facility
My years of managing equine barns for other horsemen has given me valuable experience and insights for setups I prefer. I started boarding clients' horses back in 2013, since then I became a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), focusing on continuing education for horses and small animal emergency care, this has only added to my expertise in equine skills. Not every horse barn has an animal nurse on staff!

Feeding Program
At DayBreak Ranch, we believe that proper nutrition is the cornerstone of a healthy and happy horse. With my equine nutrition education and extensive experience, we have tailored diets to meet the unique needs of each horse, prioritizing your horse's nutrition for optimal health and performance.
-
Sm. sq. bales alfalfa, mixed, and grass 1st,2nd, 3rd, and sometimes 4th cutting
-
All hay is made by us and not outsourced. Good quality hay provides so many benefits.
-
Clean water & mineral access
-
BUCKETS - no automatic waterers. This adds a lot of extra work, but critical work. The number 1 killer in horses is colic. This proactive approach keeps me informed if there is an intake change.
-
Pasture grazing when grass is available or hay access FT to prevent ulcers
-
Haynet usage especially for horses who get board or messy
